The change of thoughts.
It made me a bit upset that the client wanted me to change the logo's size.
Let me explain. I'm helping boss with this project, to deisgn a paper bag for a particular brand. We came out with many designs - thankU S for teaching me and then making me understand what's "momentem"!- The client decided to pick that deisgn S and I both liked. BUT
he wants his logo to be more prominent.
it AFFECTS!!! the original design. Yes, I remember: "clients do not really appreciate this..what they want to show is their brand's name". But! does the one who design the bag has to be puppeted to make changes to what he/she feels is an art?
On my way home, I've changed my perspective though. It's okay, the concepts are the process. Coming up with the design is the art. When it is passed over to the clients, I suppose we need to understand that the decision has been given to the client. It's not puppetry - I seem to have exaggarated!- it's more of serving, serving well?
some happier things:
today it rained. so nicee. (: S got himself curtains today(: He placed curtains at my working area of his studio. But he doesn't have one himself. He used to cover his computers with a big paper, to block the sunlight, as he works hard on his designs. But he's not sheltered from the sun! Now that curtains are there, hope it's of more help.
He fixed a DIY shelf to place the books.good, cus he's really a bit blur. He forgets where he places his stuff.
These are all through observation. Not conversation. I do not feel comfortable should we be, say...eating together?
Er, it takes more than just time for me to become friends with a person?
